Project Gridiron
Senior Unity3D Engineer
Brought on as Senior Unity3D Engineer to build Project Gridiron, a cross-platform sports title targeting mass-market device distribution. Owned core gameplay systems end-to-end — from play mechanics to the AI logic that selected and sequenced plays dynamically based on in-game context, keeping matches feeling varied and reactive rather than scripted.
A significant portion of the engineering effort went into device fidelity — designing responsive UI layouts that maintained visual integrity and usability across a wide range of screen sizes and aspect ratios, from flagship phones to lower-spec tablets. This required careful separation of layout logic from gameplay logic and extensive real-device validation.
Conducted usability testing throughout development to surface friction points early, directly informing UI iteration and ensuring the experience remained accessible to a broad casual sports audience without sacrificing depth for core players.
Project Gridiron shipped in 2014.
